OURS IS A STORY OF GENERATIONS,
FAITH AND
MISSION.
Legacy Community Church is an unfolding story of faith and mission, passed from one generation to the next.

Planted in Burwood in the 1950's, each generation had it's own name: 'Bassett St Chapel' in the 60's, 'Bassett Street Christian Fellowship' in the 80's, 'Burwood Christian Centre' in 2000, and now, 'Legacy Community Church'. With a strong emphasis on God's Word and Presence, we believe God wants to be known, and His Kingdom experienced in every day life.

We're made up of a mix of ethnicities, ages and people from all walks of life, and love welcoming people into our worshipping community.

And just like the pikorua symbol in our name, we're forever committed to bridging and uniting people, cultures, and generations, through genuine and lasting relationships.
Come and experience God's love and Presence among us.
SERVICES, PROGRAMMES
& EVENTS.
We have a range of ministries and programmes for different ages. From youth groups, to small groups; prayer gatherings, to community drop-ins;
church services to camps, events and playgroup...

We're a vibrant, living community of people who enjoy doing life together and being a place and people active in manaakitanga: making people
feel welcome.
You don't need a religious background to participate - just come along! Haere mai.
